Terravent™ Flexible Ventilation Ducting, both force and exhaust ventilation applications, are made to size and specification/requirement at our factory in Waltloo, Pretoria.

In-stope ventilation controls including bratticing/curtains with our patented Ventmesh™ as well as Terrajet™ Air Movers are used underground for air cooling and scrubbing, and to assist in maintaining stope/face air supply and velocity within legal requirements. The Terrajet™ Air Movers are also used to assist in dust, vapour and gas dilution in potentially explosive and designated hazardous environments.

Safety is paramount in all mining activities and following induced eye injuries to miners led to the development of the Muhle Mehlo™ eye protector (“nice eyes” in Fanakalo). This mesh item is attached to the miner’s hard hat and forms a major part of present industry PPE/Eye protection.

In order to complete a mine development-end product package, a diaphragm mud pump (Winzemaster™) was developed in the 1980’s. In 2011, the pump will be re-designed to be more user-friendly, and will be the only South African manufactured double diaphragm pump.
